Work With Us
Join the team nurturing women, infants and families
At Maternal & Infant Wellbeing Melbourne, we’re more than a clinic — we’re a supportive, multidisciplinary community dedicated to evidence-based, compassionate care for women, infants and families. We believe in holistic, coordinated health care that empowers parents through the early stages of parenting, strengthens the mother–infant bond, and nurtures wellbeing in a beautiful, purpose-built space.
We’re always excited to connect with passionate practitioners who share our values and vision. Whether you’re an experienced clinician or looking to bring a specialised skill into a multidisciplinary setting, we believe the best care happens when practitioners work together with a shared purpose.
MIWM is a space where clinical excellence meets warmth and respect — for patients, families and our team. Our practitioners support a diverse patient demographic, united by a need for thoughtful, individualised care during some of life’s most significant transitions.
Why Join MIWM?
At MIWM you’ll be part of a collaborative team where:
Multidisciplinary care thrives — practitioners work together to support each family holistically.
Patient wellbeing is at the heart — our services encompass breastfeeding support, women’s and children’s health, mental health, allied therapies and preventative care.
Growth and learning are encouraged — we value practitioners who bring curiosity, compassion and continual development to their work.
The environment feels like a community — we nurture both families and our team in a space designed for connection, confidence and care.
We welcome a wide range of practitioners interested in working with our patient demographic — from perinatal specialists to allied health, from mental health professionals to complementary therapists.
Work With Us
Below are roles we are actively recruiting for. If you’re passionate about working with women, babies and families, we’d love to hear from you.
General Practitioners (GPs)
Are you a GP with a special interest in women’s health, maternal care or early childhood medicine? Join our team delivering holistic care tailored to the needs of women, infants and families at every stage.
IBCLC / Breastfeeding Specialist
We are looking for an IBCLC or experienced Breastfeeding Specialist to support families with feeding, lactation, and early infant challenges, with experience in the Possums Approach / Neuroprotective Developmental Care model, and a holistic focus on parent-infant wellbeing.
Perinatal/Maternal Mental Health Professional
We’re seeking psychologists and psychiatrist skilled in supporting perinatal and infant mental health, paediatric psychology, parent–infant relationships, trauma, and broader presentations including eating disorders, who value collaborative, evidence-informed, family-centred care.
Nurse or Midwife
We are seeking an experienced Nurse or Midwife to join our multidisciplinary maternity clinic. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for antenatal and postnatal care, a holistic approach to family wellbeing, and strong communication skills.
Allied Health Practitioners
Whether it’s physiotherapy, osteopathy, dietetics, sleep & settling consultation or complementary therapies, if your approach is evidence-based and family-centred, we’re interested in connecting.
Complementary Therapists
We welcome expressions of interest from qualified complementary therapists who are passionate about supporting women, babies and families during pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. We are particularly interested in practitioners whose work aligns with Maternal and Infant Wellbeing.
Volunteer With Us
Our Volunteer Program welcomes individuals with a genuine interest in supporting women, infants and families during the early postnatal period. This program is designed for people who are passionate about nurturing maternal wellbeing and infant development, and who value calm, compassionate presence.
Volunteers play an important role within our team, offering gentle baby cuddling and practical, emotional support for new mothers during their time with us. This support helps create space for rest, reassurance and connection — all essential components of early parenting and recovery.
We invite expressions of interest from people who bring warmth, reliability and respect to their interactions, and who feel aligned with our commitment to safe, evidence-based and family-centred care. Volunteers are supported by our clinical team and are required to meet relevant screening, training and suitability requirements to ensure the wellbeing of both families and volunteers.
If you’re looking to contribute meaningfully to the early parenting journey and be part of a caring, multidisciplinary environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Expressions of Interest Welcome
Don’t see your role listed? We’re always open to hearing from practitioners who resonate with our mission and approach. If you’re driven to make a meaningful impact on the perinatal journey — even if your background is unique — please get in touch.
