Nursing and Midwifery

MIWM Nurses and Midwives

At MIWM, our Nurses and Midwives are dedicated to providing compassionate, holistic care for women, babies, and families at every stage of life. With extensive experience in women’s health, pregnancy, children’s health, postnatal care, and general wellbeing, they offer personalised support in a warm and welcoming environment.

Our team provides a range of nurse and midwife-led services, including immunisations for babies, toddlers, and adults, as well as pathology collection, ECG testing, and Holter monitor fitting and management. They also support care plan coordination and work closely with you to ensure your healthcare needs are managed smoothly and efficiently.

We are proud to support families through practical, community-focused services such as facilitating Nourishy breastmilk drop-offs, helping make infant feeding support more accessible and convenient.

At MIWM, we value a thoughtful, unhurried approach to care. Our Nurses and Midwives take the time to listen, understand your needs, and provide gentle, informed guidance so you feel confident and supported in your healthcare journey.

Nourishy Drop-Off Centre

Maternal and Infant Wellbeing are a proud to partner with Nourishy as a trusted collection centre, providing families with a safe and convenient place to drop off frozen breast milk for freeze-drying. This service is designed to support mums and families who want to preserve their breast milk for longer-term storage, without compromising safety or quality.

All bookings are managed directly through Nourishy, and we provide a simple, supportive drop-off experience at our clinic. Each order is individually handled by our clinical team, with nurses and midwives carefully receiving your breast milk and then accurately weighing, counting, and transferring each container into clearly labelled client bags. This ensures full traceability and gives you confidence that your milk is securely and correctly managed at every step.

Once received, your frozen breast milk is safely stored in appropriate conditions until it is collected and transported to Queensland for processing. Throughout the entire process, it is handled with strict attention to hygiene, safety, and respect, and is never pooled with other families’ milk.

Freeze-drying is then completed by Nourishy using their specialised process, transforming your breast milk into a shelf-stable powder designed for long-term storage.
