Maternal and Infant Wellbeing Melbourne offers a comprehensive antenatal birth preparation class designed to help you feel informed, confident and ready for birth and early parenthood. Across our 6-hour sessions, our Registered Midwife will guide you through what to expect in the final weeks of pregnancy, labor and birth, navigating common interventions and pain relief options, and preparing for your recovery and the early days with your newborn. You'll leave with a practical understanding of the birth process, the knowledge to make informed decisions, and hands-on skills for caring for your baby. The class also explores the often-overlooked aspects of the fourth trimester, helping you feel prepared not only for birth itself, but for the transition into parenthood with confidence.
Nourishy Drop-Off Centre
Maternal and Infant Wellbeing are a proud to partner with Nourishy as a trusted collection centre, providing families with a safe and convenient place to drop off frozen breast milk for freeze-drying. This service is designed to support mums and families who want to preserve their breast milk for longer-term storage, without compromising safety or quality.
All bookings are managed directly through Nourishy, and we provide a simple, supportive drop-off experience at our clinic. Each order is individually handled by our clinical team, with nurses and midwives carefully receiving your breast milk and then accurately weighing, counting, and transferring each container into clearly labelled client bags. This ensures full traceability and gives you confidence that your milk is securely and correctly managed at every step.
Once received, your frozen breast milk is safely stored in appropriate conditions until it is collected and transported to Queensland for processing. Throughout the entire process, it is handled with strict attention to hygiene, safety, and respect, and is never pooled with other families’ milk.
Freeze-drying is then completed by Nourishy using their specialised process, transforming your breast milk into a shelf-stable powder designed for long-term storage.
For more information about the full process, safety standards, the science behind freeze-drying breast milk, or to make a booking please visit the Nourishy website here.
