Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Our service is designed especially for mothers and their babies from the first days after birth through to 6 months of age.

Anyone within this timeframe is welcome, whether you’re seeking support, reassurance, or simply a calm, nurturing space to connect and grow with your baby

  • The best time to attend is as soon as you feel you might need a little extra support, not when you’ve reached your limit.

If you’re experiencing feeding, sleep, or emotional wellbeing challenges, we encourage you to come early, ideally soon after discharge from hospital. Seeking support early can make a meaningful difference and help you feel more confident and capable in those early weeks.

That said, challenges don’t always appear straight away. Sometimes questions, changes, or difficulties arise weeks or even months later, and you are just as welcome then. It’s never too late to reach out for support.

If you’re simply in need of rest and support, you’re welcome at any time, you don’t need to be experiencing difficulties to attend. Many families join us to connect with other mums, learn new skills, build on their strengths, and enjoy beautiful, supported time bonding with their baby.

  • We recommend bringing your baby’s usual essentials (nappies, wipes, change of clothes, milk/feed items) and anything that feels comforting for you.

If you have specific questions about what might be helpful, our reception team is very happy to guide you when you book.

  • Not at all. While feeding support is a core part of the Day Stay, many mothers attend for guidance around settling, sleep, maternal wellbeing, confidence building, emotional support and connection with others. It’s a holistic experience designed to nurture both you and your baby.

  • Yes! There is no limit to the number of times you can attend. Many mothers choose to come more than once as their baby grows, new questions arise, or simply to reconnect with the support and community.

Medicare rebates apply at each visit, making ongoing support accessible throughout your baby’s early months.

  • Partners are welcome to join the initial breastfeeding consultation at the start of the Day Stay. This allows them to be part of the plan, feel confident supporting you at home, and be included in the conversation. After this first consultation, partners are kindly asked to leave so everyone can settle into a calm, nurturing environment for the remainder of the day.

Depending on the services scheduled for your Day Stay, there may be opportunities for partners to participate in later consultations via telehealth. Our reception team is very happy to provide guidance on what is suitable for your specific day.

  • Yes, absolutely. Many mothers choose to attend together, and we warmly welcome group bookings. Sharing the experience with a friend can feel reassuring and make the day even more special.

We do recommend securing your places early to ensure you’re able to attend together, as availability can fill quickly.

  • We understand that life with a baby is unpredictable. A $200 deposit is taken at booking, and we ask for a minimum of 2 business days’ notice if you need to cancel so your deposit can be refunded.

If you have any concerns about timing or need flexibility, please reach out, we’re here to support you with compassion and clarity.

  • Not at the moment, but we’re working on making this available. We’ll keep you updated as soon as it becomes an option.

In the meantime, there’s some really good news: Medicare rebates are available for the Day Stay. These rebates can make a significant difference, especially once you’ve reached your Extended Medicare Safety Net, where your out-of-pocket costs drop even further.
