How Kirsty works

Kirsty works with women navigating periods of change, uncertainty and emotional difficulty, including experiences related to fertility, pregnancy, birth, early parenthood, relationships and identity.

Kirsty brings a calm, grounded presence to therapy, creating space for clients to explore difficult and vulnerable experiences openly and without judgement. She brings warmth and curiosity to her work, with an appreciation that psychological experiences are not only cognitive, but can also be felt through the body. Kirsty incorporates nervous-system awareness and somatic practices where appropriate, helping clients develop a greater understanding of their emotional and physiological responses and build practical skills for regulation and self-resourcing.

What she focuses on

Kirsty works with anxiety, low mood, perfectionism, trauma, relationship difficulties and adjustment, including the challenges that can arise during pregnancy and the transition to parenthood. She also supports women who feel disconnected from themselves or caught in longstanding patterns that they are ready to approach differently.

Kirsty loves supporting women through periods when previously familiar ways of living, relating or understanding themselves may no longer fit. This may involve navigating a changing sense of identity, shifts in relationships, becoming a parent, or finding a new way forward after a difficult or unexpected experience.

Her work is trauma-informed and evidence-based, drawing on CBT, ACT, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and attachment and relational therapies. She tailors treatment to each person and their circumstances, integrating nervous-system and body-based strategies where clinically appropriate.
