Specialist Women's, Men's & Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, FACP
Anita is a Specialist Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists 2022) FACP. A specialist is someone who has attained the highest clinical qualification in Australia, Anita is one of only five practising physiotherapists in Melbourne with this qualification. She has also completed all four levels of DMA Clinical Pilates training, Strength & Conditioning Coaching, Dry Needling certification and holds qualifications in Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She endeavours to provide compassionate and holistic management for her patients combining manual and exercise therapies to help them achieve their health goals.
Anita has a keen interest in treating complex pelvic floor conditions affecting women, men and the LGBTQIA+ community which include incontinence, pelvic pain and prolapse. She is particularly skilled at addressing musculoskeletal conditions and injuries such as pelvic girdle pain, back pain, headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain as well as wrist and hand pain. Anita also works with children and their families to work on paediatric continence and constipation issues.
Outside the clinic, Anita enjoys teaching and mentoring physiotherapists and students. She also teaches post graduate physiotherapists and doctors at the University of Melbourne, where she also helped develop the Masters of Sports Medicine program. Anita is Vice Chair of the National Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Committee of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).
On a personal note, Anita loves to dance and spend time with her kids. She is also fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.
